3 The Lord has appeared of old to me, saying:
“Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love;
Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.
16For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting
2through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. 3
And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; 4and perseverance, character;
and character, hope. 5Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who
was given to us.
8But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
37Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38For I am persuaded that neither death nor
life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39nor height nor depth, nor any other created
thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
4But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in trespasses,
made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),
1 John 4:9–11
9In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through
Him. 10In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.11
Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

16And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.
